Fitness activities among students, the YMCA University in Faridabad

Faridabad, 6 October( a view to promote fitness activities among students, the YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad has set up a Gym with modern facilities in the University premises. The Gym located in the boy’s hostel was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dinesh Kumar.  Appreciating the initiative taken by the Chief Hostel Warden Office, the Vice-Chancellor said that the gym, fully equipped with modern equipments will help to improve the fitness of the students. He encouraged the students to take advantage of the facility. The Vice-Chancellor said that the physical activities have a positive impact on students in their academic achievements. The University is making this investment to improve student’s life style, he added.

The gym is equipped with Multi-gym, Recumbent bike, Twister, Abdominal board, Olympic flat benches, squat stand, Butterfly machine, Leg Extension & Leg Curling, lat pulldown / high pulley and dumbbells.    The students residing in the hostels would be allowed to use the gym free of cost.Dean, Institutions, Prof. Sandeep Grover, Prof. Tilak Raj, Proctor Dr. Munish Vashistha, Chief Hostel Warden, Dr. Vikas Turk, Training and Placement Officer, Dr. Vikram Singh, Additional Chief Hostel Warden Sh. Surender Singh, Wardens Sh. Suresh Kumar, Sh. Ashish Pal and Sh. Manmohan Kakkar were also present on this occasion.
